Electric Macan Getting 700hp
Porsche has confirmed that they are bringing out an all electric Macan. Porsche's director of SUV's Julian Baumann has told said that the all-electric version of the Macan will be sold alongside the normal combustion versions to appeal to both kinds of buyers as not everyone is ready of EVs just yet.
The electric Macan will be very different from its combustion version as it has to be built of an entirely different platform. The platform that it will be using is the Premium Platform Electric, which is the same one that the Taycan uses. This platform will however have to be adjusted for SUV use.
Porsche claims that the all electric version will retain the same DNA of its predecessor and stay the sportiest model in its class. The most powerful version of the electric Macan will be pushing out 700hp (525kw) and 1017nm of torque. The power will be sent to all four wheels with two motors powering each axle.
